What we've discovered in working with small businesses is that nothing is ever the same. Every business is different in their needs, desires, and capabilities. Each relationship begins differently, yet all of ours seem to end the same...with a long-term relationship. The role we find ourselves filling most often is that of Web expert. The Web is complicated and Web projects are complex. Small business people simply don't have the time to devote to the Web and all it means, or could mean. That's where we typically join with your team. We build trust over time by providing high-value services and opinions that you can use to make your business better. We're not pests about it - we stay in touch so we know what's going on with your company. Smart customers keep us informed and add us to their regular marketing lists. Many customers add us to their planning calls and meetings to receive input that helps them with new initiatives.
The Best First Step - We passionately believe that we will get everything we want by first helping you get what you want. We're willing to prove it too -- free-of-charge. No doubt, you have a lot of questions and ideas, about your website and your plans. Well, here's your chance to meet with a true expert for an in-depth meeting to discuss your site, your Web strategy and what it means for your business. This isn't a sales call or a veiled presentation. This is a real discussion of where you are now, where you are wanting to go, and what else is possible. We'll come ready to talk about your business, your competitive posture and what the Web might offer your business. You come ready to do the same. Bring your questions and your ideas and we'll come armed to talk in detail about your current site, your competitive posture and what might make sense for you on the Web. Be prepared for a candid discussion. We'll follow-up our meeting with a short document that recommends potential Web Opportunities for your business including risk factors/obstacles to success. Did we mention this is free?
We're not a giant company with demanding investors and huge profit requirements. We believe in keeping things simple and we believe that keeping you as a customer is as simple as providing excellent value to your business throughout our relationship. It's kind of old school thinking but we like it! Retaining our professional services does involve the signing of a "memorandum of understanding" that outlines the terms of our working relationship. Any tasks we are asked to perform as part of that understanding are agreed upon as separate, subsequent work order(s) that spell out the work in detail, the timeframe, and the cost.
Whenever possible, we believe in providing you with a fixed-price bid for work to be performed. This could be a fixed dollar amount for a website or a fixed daily rate for consultative work. We bill hourly for tasks believed to total less than 4 hours in length.
